Stephen Lett, pictured accepting a gift from a child at an international convention

A cornerstone teaching of the Jehovah’s Witness faith is the idea that Jesus began ruling over the Earth in 1914, when the “last days” before Armageddon are said to have commenced.

The fact that this key event supposedly happened “invisibly” is often used as an excuse by Witnesses to explain away the lack of any evidence, especially as the passage of time steadily erodes the credibility of the teaching.

But now it seems the evidence has been there along. We just weren’t paying enough attention!

According to Governing Body member Stephen Lett (who last month appeared in the inaugural JW Broadcasting episode), the evidence that Jesus has been ruling in the heavens for the past 100 years is more compelling than the evidence for “gravity, electricity” and “wind!”

The above footage, recently posted on YouTube having been filmed at a recent international convention, will make awkward viewing for thinking Witnesses who desperately want to be able to take their leaders seriously.

In this video, Lett exposes himself yet again as a bumbling simpleton with a tenuous grasp on reality.

The evidence for electricity is in front of his very mouth as he utters his senile words into a microphone that converts his voice into electrical signals that can manifest themselves in speakers all over the auditorium.

The evidence for gravitational force can be found in the fact that his feet are planted firmly on the convention platform rather than spiraling into the air and ascending into the upper atmosphere together with the rest of his body, clothes and gaudy pinky ring.

And the fact that wind is similarly invisible to the human eye in no way brings its existence into any doubt, as any sailor, meteorologist or wind turbine engineer will confirm.

Contrast all of the above with the ridiculous claims made by Watchtower about 1914, and the absurdity of Lett’s words is painfully apparent. One can only hope that as many Witnesses as possible are made familiar with the above video which, though succinct, perfectly showcases the intellectual vacuum at the apex of the Watchtower organization.

There are lots of scams that promise a large reward
but require the victim to make a significant investment
up-front. The W,T,Org, is a prime example of such.

It’s been a long running swindle, and it’s now getting more
difficult to string people along, hence the appeal to blind
faith. “There’s more evidence, than for Gravity, etc,”
The only evidence is what they’ve concocted, and is proven
    to be false.

Many are waking up to the fact that they’ve been deluded,
but some will cling on, because it’s “Easier to ignore facts”
“Than to abandon a cherished belief”, that they’ve
Invested a large part of their life working for.

Hey Cedar, They were right all along about 1914, they just didn’t understand what it meant. The real, legal “Jesus Christ” is the Major General of the Jesuit Order, the Black Pope who lives in the Vatican and is second only to “Satan” himself who heads the council of 13 Druid priests who rule the planet through the Jesuit, Zionist, British Royalty, Protestant and Vatican order. He is known as “The Pendor” or “Satans Dick”. This is a true story Cedar. The Christians, especially JW’s actually worship Aton or Akhenaton. The tetragrammaton literally means “The Four Measures of Aton”; ie: Yahweh or Jehovah.

Heres an interesting thought on the significance of a pinky ring:

    Homosexuality
In the 1950s through the 1970s, wearing a pinky ring was sometimes used as a covert sign of male homosexuality. Judy Grahn in her book “Another Mother Tongue” writes that in 1959, the year she came out, that rings worn on the pinky were known as a secret way to communicate homosexuality.

    Signet ring and aristocracy
The signet ring, a type of ring bearing a family crest and used to seal letters and mark other documents, was traditionally worn on the little finger. As a result, rings worn on the little finger became associated with aristocracy in general.

The pinky ring is also associated with luck and organized crime.

    http://www.realmenrealstyle.com/ring-finger-meaning/

People who like astrological or palmistry-related symbolism will associate the littler finger with intelligence and persuasion. It represents Mercury.

Seems to me that there is nothing Christian about wearing a pinky ring. Unless your an engineer, as one source mentions that an iron ring is worn on the pinky finger. To my knowledge Lett is not an engineer and the ring is not iron.

    Folks,

There is a scriptural way to ascertain if CHRIST chose the WTBTS way back when. It’s very simple. Any organisation approved and “directed” by Holy Spirit would yield good fruit, or the fruitage of the Holy Spirit.

Does the WTBTS yield this good fruit? Does it serve as a city on the hill, that guides all people of good will to Jesus?

Consider the latest defeat for the WTBTS in the Lopez case. The WTBTS refused an order from several courts in California to hand over their dossier containing details of the known paedophiles in their society, and to provide Gerrit Laoch (apologies for the spelling) to testify.

Does this conform with Christian values? Does this declare any glory to CHRIST? No, absolutely not.

So, Mr Lett, there is ample evidence that Jesus did not choose your WTBTS way back when. Therefore, you have no divine mandate or any authority over anyone.

    Peace be with you,

    Excelsior!

Does God communicate to his servants in “Riddles”.?
the answer is No. Num, 12/8. Jesus spoke in parables,
but only to outsiders, to his disciples he explained the
parables in plain language Mark 4/ 11-20.

1914 is a riddle, made up of unconnected verses from
Dan, and Rev, jammed together, most J,Ws, would struggle
to explain it asked to do so by someone in the door ministry.
Being aware of this problem, the G,B, has produced a video
to try and un-confuse the subject. ( Their core doctrine, and
after 100 years many still not clear why they believe it.! )

The Bible gives a plainly worded explanation as to when Jesus
took Kingdom Power, ( anonymous has pointed it out to us, )
Matt 28/18, “All ” authority “Has”been given me in “Heaven”
    and on “Earth”

All is an absolute term there’s nothing else once you’ve got it all.!
“Has” been given to me, ( Present Tense, not future, 1914.)
In Heaven, and on Earth, ( Where else is there ).?

So in plain simple language devoid of “Riddles” the Bible says
Jesus took up Kingdom Power. At his Ascension.

    All authority?

The evidence for that is about as strong as the evidence for 1914.

By what standard would you say that Christ has all authority on Earth?

    @Reader , I entirely agree. There’s no evidence for 1914,
or that Jesus has authority over the Earth.

Neither is there any evidence that the Bible is Gods Word,
but J,Ws believe it, and I tried to reason from their
    viewpoint.

    Thank for your response.

I could not see Jesus with a black ring on his little finger waving it around while talking to his disciples. This person needs to reconsider whose example he is following! Also he needs to check what the Watchtower taught in 1914.
The scriptures say plainly to be presumptuous is worse than divination. Check what is printed by the Watchtower in 1914. Reference publications:- Studies in the Scriptures, seven volumes. To think you know better than Christ is running ahead of Christ not following behind in his footsteps. Does he believe he will be rewarded for doing so. Then let him look at his organization today and how he treats those who walk outside of the box!!!!

In the January 15 Watchtower on page 37, paragraph 1, this is what it says:

“The Bible shows that Satan has made use of the time to build up an organization in heaven and earth over which he rules.”

This Watchtower was printed 50 years after 1919, so why would the Watchtower say that Satan HAS AN ORGANIZATION IN HEAVEN IN THE PRESENT TENSE IF THEY BELIEVE THAT SATAN WAS KICKED OUT OF HEAVEN IN 1914????

If Satan was kicked out of Heaven in 1914, how do the Bible students know for sure it chosen by Jesus and Jehovah as his only channel in 1919 when if you examine the beliefs of the 7th Day Adventists, their beliefs were very similar to the Bible Students?

In several of Rutherford’s books such as Preservation 1932, Salvation 1939, Light Book 2 1930 and Preparation, 1933, he said “By his spirit, the holy spirit, Jehovah God guides or leads his people up to a certain time, and thus he did until the time when ‘the comfortter’ was taken away…in 1918.” After that, Rutherford claimed he got all his information through angels.

The problem is that there are good angels and evil angels. How would he know if these were good angels or evil angels since now Satan was supposed to have been cast to the earth and all his angels with him? Could the Watchtower be Satan’s visible “organization” on the earth?

    Great work Cedars.
Can’t wait for all this evidence for 1914! I’m so glad they are sticking to their guns on this one, it’s our best way of proving them to be deceitful!
Most of us know about Russell’s pyramidology and where 1914 really came from. The fact that they are sticking to this original deception, and keeping the true facts hidden, shows who their real father is.
Yes, anonymous, they are certainly a part of Satan’s ‘organisation’ on earth. He continues to transform himself into an angel of light!
By the way, about your earlier comment, using the correct dates for the destruction of Jerusalem does not contradict the 70 years of exile. The Exile began when Nebuchadnezzar besieged the city in 605 and took captives to Babylon, then over a period of twenty years till the destruction in 587. The exiles started to return in 537, probably taking a couple more years for the four thousand or so returnees to settle. This would bring us nicely to 535.
607 was NOT the year for the destruction of Jerusalem. There is NO historical or archaeological proof for it. The date was used to fit in with the 2520 years to 1914 and save face for Charles T.
The Society have also manipulated all relevant dates to fit in with 607, even changing history be re-dating the Battle of Carchemish to 625 instead of 605. They are very, very clever at covering over things.
Hopefully the whitewash will be discovered soon. I pray for it every day.

Thank you Excelsior! I have tried many avenues of help over the past 18 years, since I left the organization. I still have nightmares about what I went through in “the Truth”. I spoke to Steve Hassan many years ago. After that I went to exit cult-counseling for a couple of years. I still can’t seem to find a way of overcoming the deep fears I have when I speak up for myself (and ptsd). I spoke up for myself several times in front of a body of elders during a judicial committee, when I was in my late teens. I was I told by the presiding overseer, that I was hindering Jehovah’s holy spirit in the congregation. I was humiliated and berated as a young, sweet, kind women….often… enough to do damage to my whole emotional and spiritual being. I have yet to find a counselor who can understand the uniqueness (for lack of a better word)of being in this cult. If you have any suggestions as to help that I can find, I am very open to it.

Dear Epiphany. I just love watching Kim and Mike Brooks youtube videos. They have a real way of cheering a person up and it helps to reinforce in you that it was the right thing to leave the Watchtower. Those fears of Armageddon is what Watchtower uses to their advantage. Don’t let them win with that tactic. It took me a long while to get over that fear too but the more you read books from people who have left the cult, the more sure you will be that it was the right move.

Nobody can understand what we are going through unless you are an ex-JW like us. What I have been doing lately, is taking notes when I listen to a good video. Another good youtube channel to watch is watchtower examination. When you hear the other side of the story over and over again, it will become the dominate thought process, instead of the Watchtower fears. I am still having bad dreams too and it will probably last my whole life but I still feel so much less depressed than when I was going to meetings and out in service.

Oh yeah! There is more evidence for the earth being a flat disk than a globe. When I walk, or drive on the highway, I can clearly see that I am not walking or driving on the curved surface of a globe, otherwise, it would get steeper and steeper, and all of a sudden, I would fall off into outer space. What nonsense, to say the earth is a globe. And too, the sun is not the center of the solar system – our earth is, there is clear evidence, bec. the sun clearly revolves around us, I can see it every day. When I stand still all day long, in the morning, the sun is at my left, then it moves over my head, next, it’s at my right side and then disappears. That’s clear proof that not the earth, but the sun is moving. And dreams are real events too. When dreaming, I see things and hear voices and noises, I move and touch things and talk to other people, hence, this must all be real as well. OF COURSE are these proofs! And when people fart, now, that’s irrefutable proof that there is wind. Only, with some people, it seems their farts come from their mouth instead of their behind, and I am not talking about smell, but content.

RE: The pic of the girl cuddling up to His Highness Lett

Those old farts just love to be adored by kids. I remember when I was formerly “serving” as an elder (oops – yep, here it is: I was also once marching acc. to the WTS’ drumbeat), we talked to a “C.O.” about his incredible rudeness and harshness he displayed towards the publishers, berating and belittling them as if they were scum (“When Jesus comes and asks you: How many hours did you work for your worldly employer? And how many hours in field service? How are you going to justify that?” and similar “kind encouragements”), asking him to slow down and ease up a bit, he was furious and came back the next day with a stack of “fan mail” he had received over the years from kids in congregations he had served formerly, dumping it under our noses and saying: “HERE! READ THIS, AND CHEW ON IT!” No kidding. I thought I was in the wrong movie. And they (not just him, but all C.O.s and their wives) always liked to pose with kids and little babies for photos, to show how likeable and lovable and wonderful people they are. That has always been a hallmark of all WTS officials.

On a side note: If this was my girl, that snapshot would NEVERRRR have happened. I would not even let him get close to her, let alone TOUCH her, fondling her bare skin, for who knows what’s going on in his pants right down below his belt, where he is holding the girl’s purple paper so we can’t see it? HA! The WTS’s pedophiles. Where does the fish rot from ????? … Ergo.

These men can get away with speaking nonsense because every one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, sitting in that audience is mentally unconscious and so is Stephen Lett. If those people let their brains engage and they thought about the “paradise” earth that the earthly class was praying for and working so hard to preach about, this is what a thinking, fully conscious person would realize they were praying and working so hard for:

No electricity: No electric lights, no air conditioning or fans, no movies or television or internet to get jw.org or jw.tv or live streaming to their Kingdom Halls and no microphones. All the meetings would have to be during the day and everyone would have to either walk or ride horses to the Kingdom Halls because there would be no cars (no factories) and no gas to run them with and nobody running the oil fields to get the oil out of the ground and no refineries. No indoor plumbing (no factories making toilets and nobody running the water plans from the city. Nobody to pick up garbage trucks: no factories to make them since no gas or electricity to run factories, no doctors since nobody would be allowed to go to college from the “old system” to carry over into the “new system”.

We would have to believe and stand behind whatever the Governing Body told us to do from Heaven, no matter if it changed from day to day or month to month and if we didn’t obey, Jehovah would kill us on the spot. If somebody accused us of doing something wrong, a committee would decide whether we were guilty or not and we’d not be allowed legal counsel to protect our rights. We would have no legal rights and killed on the spot. There would be no libraries since the only literature we’d be allowed to read would be Watchtower literature. The only work we’d be allowed to do would be what the Governing Body from heaven would allow us to do. We’d be told what kind of clothes we can wear and when we would be allowed to wear these clothes but who is going to be making these clothes and fabrics since there won’t be any electricity or gas to run these factories and get the metals out of the ground to make the metal to make the machines etc. etc. How are we going to have fabric’s and who is going to make the fabrics? Are we going to have to raise sheep and sheer the sheep to get the wool to spin the wool to make wool clothing? Wool itches.
If women still are having babies, are they going to have to give birth at home with no hospitals and no nurses or doctors to help with the deliveries? What if we have an accident or break a leg? With no doctors, who is going to help us when something like that happens to us?
How are we going to heat our homes without factories to make furnaces with no electricity and gas? Are we going to heat with wood?
Are we going to work for wages? Is money going to be involved? Who is going to raise our food? How are we going to raise our food? How are we going to preserve it with no electricity and no refrigerators?
There wouldn’t be anymore football or soccer on Television to watch.

Nobody is supposed to question the Society and what it would be like in the “new world”. That would be running ahead and Jehovah will take care of our needs etc. etc. So, in other words, don’t think about it. Whatever comes out of our mouths is from Jehovah so don’t think. We don’t think and neither should you.

@kofybean, you might find this quote from the book “The Armageddon Cult” by Daniel LeEarl Hall on page 190:

“I woke up this morning at 6:07 AM. It made me think of 607 BCE. Why did Watchtower drop the use of the terms BC and AD, which mean, BC: Before Christ and AD: Anno Domini, in The Year of Our Lord? Perusing the Watchtower CD, I found that they have used the terms “Common Era” (CE) to replace AD and “Before our Common Era” (BCE) to replace BC, for most of the 20th century. You see, every time we refer to BC or AD, we are proclaiming Jesus Christ. Atheistic scientists adopted the terms CE and BCE so they wouldn’t have to keep referring to Jesus Christ! I believe that the Watchtower has, for the same reason, even taken the name of Jesus Christ out of our dates and calender! I even found one reference in the Watchtower’s 1963 Babylon book where they state, “Before our Common Era, the SO-CALLED Christian Era!”
The Watchtower is so obsessed with chronology and dates that they have to use these terms, “Common Era” and “Before our Common Era” thousands of times in their writings. They would be forced to use the name of Christ, so they changed their terminology. They only use Jesus Christ as an “example” and only refer to Him so they can sound somewhat mainstream Christian. If you have a difficult time, believing that this is the case, simply analyze the following fact:
In the New World Translation index there are 111 scripture references under “Jehovah.” Under “Jesus” there are only 16. Compare that with the apostle Paul’s letters. For example, in the first chapter of Ephesians, Paul refers to Jesus Christ 23 times in one chapter.”

@kofybean. I took the name Willow and saw somebody else already had that name so I am back to anonymous and so I wanted to add to my comment from above from the quote from “The Armageddon Cult”. This is going to be my thought about your comment.

A couple of years ago when I was in service, it was the summer time, a man came to the door and shouted at me that we weren’t Christian. I can remember it so well, because it was a warm day and he left his screen door open and walked away from the door, leaving me standing there, not being able to say anything back. I got back into the car and told the car group what happened in how I tried to tell him “of course we are Christian” and so on.

All these years, I believed we were Christians. I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I used Mathew 7:21-23 in service, thinking that Jesus was talking about all other religions, not us.

After I started looking at so-called “apostate” websites, they reminded me that Jesus is only the mediator for the 144,000. I didn’t remember that so I had to look it up in the Insight book, Vol. 2.

After your comment, I went back and looked up article after article about Jesus Christ and prayer with the understanding that Jesus is only the mediator for the 144,000 instead of just reading the articles like I did before, thinking they were talking to me, but instead with the understanding they were talking to the 144,000 instead.

Everyone of Jehovah’s Witnesses believes that they are Christians and can approach Jehovah in prayer. They can’t approach Jehovah in prayer because in that religion, the intercessor for prayer is only allowed to be the intercessor for the anointed. So, actually, not only are we not Christian, but we couldn’t even approach Jehovah in prayer. All of Jehovah’s Witnesses prayers are meaningless.

The Society is deceitful. They are liars. Every one of Jehovah’s Witnesses are being fooled into supporting a fake religion. There is no excuse for what they are doing, especially misrepresenting the Bible into tricking all of the Witnesses to thinking they are Christians, when it couldn’t be further from the truth.

The Society has replaced Jesus as the mediator with God, with themselves and all of Jehovah’s Witnesses don’t even realize it. The people at the doors know it but the Witnesses don’t know it. It is something detestable and unforgivable.

@kofybean and anybody else interested, this is what the King James Bible, printed by the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society says at Acts 8:37 “And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”

Now this is what the New World Translation of the Bible says at Acts 8:37…….

The Watchtower used to print the King James Bible way back when when they could make money by selling it but it stopped printing it and left out Acts 8:37. Why would they do that????? It was because the only thing the Ethiopian eunuch had to do in order to qualify for baptism was to believe in Jesus Christ and that doesn’t agree with Jehovah’s Witness doctrine. If you go to any index of Jehovah’s Witnesses, you won’t even find even one reference for Acts 8:37 where it quotes that scripture.

They are deceitful liars and are deliberately keeping all of Jehovah’s Witnesses in the dark as to what the Bible really says about Jesus Christ. It is a sham Christian religion and Jehovah’s Witnesses don’t even realize it because the Organization is run by an evil corporation known as the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society.

In my above comment, I was quoting from a King James Bible printed by the Watchtower Society. Also, I have indexes from the Society from 1930 to 2000 where I could only find one place where in the publications they were directing the reader to Acts 8:37 and it is the Nov. 15, 1972 Watchtower page 691 and in that paragraph, nothing is mentioned or quoted from Acts. 8:37 so I am assuming since the Watchtower didn’t quote Acts 8:37 from 1930 to 2000 in any of it’s publications, then they probably wouldn’t have from 2000 to 2014 either.

There is an excellent movie called: New World Order Bible Versions on Youtube where it goes on a lot about how the original King James Bible had 7 years of intense research and really good scholarship going into it but the modern versions are not to be trusted at all as to accuracy and why they would leave out scriptures in the newer versions to support their own doctrines. This is a really interesting movie and I highly recommend it but it’s almost 2 hours long.

So, my question is again? Why did the Watchtower print this version of the King James Bible where it includes Acts 8:37 but in the New World Translations, they leave that scripture out. Why isn’t there even an article explaining why they left it out?????
